Lake Koshkonong is a reservoir in Southern Wisconsin. Lake Koshkonong sits primarily between Fort Atkinson and Sumner in Jefferson County. Although a small portion of the lake extends into Southeastern Dane and Northern Rock County. Lake Koshkonong is a natural lake created by the the Indian ford Dam. Lake Koshkonong is one of the largest lakes in Wisconsin (10,460 acres), but it is very shallow with an average depth of six feet. Lake Koshkonong has several public access points and boat lauches including 3 public beaches. Lake Koshkonong contains several varieties of fish including: Musky, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Walleye and Catfish.
